Last updated: February 7, 2026Douglas Carollo ("we," "our," or "us") built LiftRing as a commercial app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use LiftRing.## Information We Collect### Data You Provide
When you use LiftRing, the following data is created and stored on your device:- Workout data – exercises, sets, reps, weights, workout duration, and notes
- Body measurements – body weight and circumference measurements you choose to log
- App preferences – settings such as weight unit (lbs/kg), rest timer preferences, and selected programs### Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require an account or login
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal contact information
- We do not collect location data
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs## How Your Data Is Stored### On-Device Storage
All workout and measurement data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.### iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, your data may sync across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us. Apple's iCloud privacy policy governs this data. You can disable iCloud sync in your device settings.### Apple HealthKit
If you grant permission, LiftRing can write completed workouts and active energy data to Apple Health. This data is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy policy. We do not read health data from other apps. HealthKit data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.## In-App PurchasesLiftRing offers optional Pro upgrades (monthly, annual, and lifetime) through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.## Third-Party ServicesLiftRing uses the following Apple services only:- Apple CloudKit – for optional iCloud data sync
- Apple HealthKit – for optional Health app integration
- Apple StoreKit – for in-app purchasesWe do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.## Data Retention and DeletionYour data remains on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you keep the app installed. You can delete all workout history at any time from Settings within the app. Uninstalling LiftRing removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, you can manage your iCloud storage through your device settings.## Children's PrivacyLiftRing does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.## Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
